POST OPERATIVE WOUNDS
The purpose of post-operative wound care is to allow the wound heal rapidly, without complications and with the best functional and aesthetic results. The key elements of post-operative wound management include timely review of the wound, appropriate cleansing and dressing, and early recognition and intervention of wound complications.
All wounds must be kept as clean as possible to prevent the development of surgical site infection (SSI).
We follow the recommendationsof the specialist doctor for dressing and cleaning the wound, antibiotic treatment and debridement.
We monitor the process of acute wound healing, prevent wound complications and treat appropriately if complications arise.
